• Chocolate

How To Make Breakable Chocolate Heart:

Here is a step-by-step list of the things that you would have to do to make a breakable chocolate heart.  

Step 1: Prepare your candy 

If you can get your hands on a ready-made easy candy, that would be the best because all you would have to do is follow the directions that are on the bag. 

In case you don’t have one, you would need to have melted chocolate candies or a coating of your choice so you could pour them into a mold and make the cover of the chocolate heart.

Step 2: Make your mold 

Once the heated candy is ready, you want to pour it into the heart mold.

Remember, you need to rotate it around to spread the candy all over the mold. If you are having a hard time doing that, you can use a popsicle stick to spread the candy so it can cover all the sides of the heart.

Step 3: Place in fridge 

Once the mold is fully coated, you want to put it inside the refrigerator for around 10 to 20 minutes. 

Step 4 : Peel the mold 

After 10 to 15 minutes, you would have to peel the mold.

Try to peel the mold away from the candy along with the sides of the molds before you pop out the entire thing. Also, do not rush this process because a single mistake can damage the mold.

Tip: As soon as you feel that the mold has peeled away, you want to gently remove your candy heart. 

Step 5: Fill

Once you have peeled the moled, you want to place candies or your choice of items inside the heart. 

Step 6: Match the two sides of the heart

In order to make a full heart, you need to match the two sides. This means that you would have to melt the seams of your heart to make them stick together. 

To match the two sides, we have two options for you.

First option: You can warm a large plate using the oven and slowly melt the sides of the two hearts to merge them together.

Second option: This one is a bit dangerous but if you’re into that, you can go with this one. 

If you have a blow torch inside your kitchen, you want to place each heart on top of the other and use the torch to touch the sides so they could be merged together. 

Step 7: Finishing touch 

After they have been merged together, you want to decorate the heart.

The last thing that you would have to do is sprinkle some of the edible candies that you have. 

Before sprinkling them over the heart, we would suggest you to crush the candies properly. Once done, sprinkle them all over the heart that you have made after both sides have been merged together.
