The Grinch Bento

GrinchSmallWith Christmas in a few weeks we are watching all the favorite holiday movies. The ultimate fav that comes to mind that we watched was “Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas !”, we love Dr Seuss here.  The bento was just screaming in my head to be made.

I also got excited when on FB there was a pic floating around the internet for grinch grapes.  I had to make my own!

So to make my Grinch grapes I used a green grape with some GF DF cream cheese and a raspberry stuck on top, SO CUTE!  I placed them in a silicon cup, next is a vegetable medley of fresh green beans, cucumber “wreaths”, a radish “ornament”, and some carrots cut with a tiny star cutter.

The Grinch sammi is a turkey sandwich. I painted the GF DF cheese with food color to make him.  I love how his Grinch-y smile turned out.

I was hoping to surprise kiddo for lunch today but she snuck a peek and spoiled the surprise (very Grinch like).  She squealed ” The bento is AWESOME Mom I love it”!   So I am glad I did it.  It actually did not take much time extra maybe 10 min to paint him… Totally can be done easily…
