Simple Stitch Bento

Today I had no inspiration and no time. That means I end up making a bento that I usually would not post, but I figured why not show my uninspired days. My kiddo does not mind them so why should I.  It is not that I don’t like this bento just doesn’t flow for me today. I need to go shopping for things because I like to fill all the void spots. I like them a little more stuffed looking I guess.

Simple Stitch Bento was a simple bento because it was nice and easy to put together. I have some awesome Stitch gear that helped! I used the little Stitch food cup and put some “Nutella like” spread into it so that kiddo can put it on her Mickey apple. Below Stitch are some little sammi Stitch faces. I used a little cookie press to make them.

In the larger section I have a bunch of fruits for kiddo today. I cut into the skin of a piece of apple with Mickey Mouse shape. Have to pay homage to the MOUSE. Next to that are some purple grapes with picks and some flower carrots, below is a silicon cup with some mix  of dried fruits. I also put a flower carrot with a leaf pick onto a cutie orange and put that into a red cup. Last I stuck a No wheat or dairy granola bar.

After I took the picture and critiqued my work I decided my mistake was one not enough red and I have two darker foods in the center. Should have moved the grapes and the apple.  I feel then this would have “worked” for me better but, KIDDO doesn’t care. She will love that it is Stitch and Disney themed lunch and that is really all that matters.

Momma Says: Bento is art and like the saying goes beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So just don’t be so hard on yourself.
