Lady Bugs & Butterflies Bento

Lady Bugs & Butterflies Bento LBugsButterflies 238x300

Cute Lady Bugs & Butterflies Bento today!  I choose this because as my kiddo and I are in the garden weeding and getting ready to plant in a week we are finding ladybugs on the horseradish and rhubarb growing wild and free in the garden. Plus in the yard we are seeing a lot of little “pretties” aka butterflies too.

So to make this bento I steamed some GF bread to make jelly rolls and used the rest to make mini sammis with lady bug baran on top,  above the blue heart separator I used fruit leather to make hearts and used a pick to keep shape.  In the compartment below is a mix of huge strawberries cut in half and some kiwi fruit with some cute butterfly, mushroom and clover baran to pretty it up.

Tip: to help make GF bread more pliable for jelly rolls, I steamed it a little and rolled it out between silpat sheets with a rolling pin. I then added some GF chocolate spread and peanut butter. Then rolled it up and cut, simple and cute!

Momma Says: Cute poem had to share :)

May the wings of the butterfly kiss the sun
And find your shoulder to light on,
To bring you luck, happiness and riches
Today, tomorrow and beyond.
