Star Bento

Star Bento was created quickly as I could not function this morning. The reason I did a star theme is because we went shopping yesterday and we saw this STAR FRUIT and we have never eaten one before. So I am crossing my fingers that it will not taste too weird for my kiddo at lunch.  So with the stars in my mind I made little space men too.

Bento has two GF hot dog buns and hot dog space men, their faces are cheese and nori with a cherry tomato antenna. Space consists of Lettuce with cheese stars, an apple shooting star with a huge strawberry behind it and of course the star fruit.

I did not overload this bento with alot of little space fillers because my kiddo has not been very hungry lately and sometimes says there is too much food. So we shall see if now there is not enough and she is starving after school (this also happens).

Too much, too little whats a Momma to do….

Momma Says: When we look up, it widens our horizons.  We see what a little speck we are in the universe, so insignificant, and we all take ourselves so seriously, but in the sky, there are no boundaries.  No differences of caste or religion or race.  ~Julia Gregson

  1. How did they like the starfruit? Little Miss loves it as change-up sometimes. :)

The spacemen are adorable btw. Very clever & cute!

Oh and I forgot to tell you, we bought the Udi’s GF bagels – they’re very good. Big hit with Little Miss. :)

      Keeley,
Starfruit was a hit. Something new and exciting. Will have to try the bagels form Udi’s the hot dog buns were Udi’s and she loved them. I tried a little from the end I cut off and they were actually not bad, heck all that matters is that they pass the kid test….
